What you’ll do:

• Assist in the ownership of the garage-workshop workspace to ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Ensure procedures related to the garage are completed and enforced.
• Operate workshop fabrication machinery, including operation and maintenance of Mill, Break Press, Laith, 3D Printers & Laser Cutting machines.
• Utilize CAD software to assist in the fabrication and production of Engineering Samples and prototypes.
• Assist the engineering department in fit-up vehicles and produce samples and test fixtures.
• Vehicle level fitments of engineering or production samples.
• Fabrication of test jigs, fixtures and sheet metal prototypes as required.
• Ownership of the garage-workshop environment.
• Complete and enforce work procedures associated with the garage/workshop.
• Ensure tools & equipment are kept in an orderly manner and replaced or repaired when necessary.
• Manage vehicle movements in and out of the garage, including completing vehicle inspection reports for all vehicles received and sent.

What you’ll need:


• Engineering experience preferred but not mandatory
• Experience using CAD software – NX, CATIA &/or Solid Works preferred but not mandatory
• Trade qualification – fitter & turner, motor mechanic, auto electrician or similar.
• Excellent capability to dismantle and reassemble vehicles.
• Ability to create metal parts from engineering drawings.
• Ability to use workshop machinery such as a milling machine, sheet metal guillotine, break press and Laser Cutter.
