What you’ll do:

•Drive architecture and packaging evaluations within your domain, setting measurable acceptance benchmarks for each product development stage.
•Innovate and deliver integrated solutions to engineering challenges, presenting your designs clearly while offering constructive critiques of alternative approaches.
•Create and manage component timing plans that align with master program schedules, proactively addressing risks and proposing recovery strategies to safeguard project timelines.
•Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal design standards to ensure engineering excellence.
•Conduct DFMEA and DFMA processes to ensure designs meet functional and manufacturability standards.
•Generate and release detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings to support production workflows.
•Perform initial FEA analysis, leveraging the expertise of the FEA Lead for advanced validation.
•Collaborate with the Integration & Test team to design and execute unit-level component testing, ensuring compliance with performance requirements.

What you’ll need:

•Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience in automotive or similar industries.
•Expertise in CAD modeling, 2D drafting, and analysis, with proficiency in Siemens NX, SolidWorks, and SimSolid highly desirable.
•In-depth knowledge of CAD/CAM tools, drafting practices, and GD&T standards.
•Strong understanding of prototype development and low-volume manufacturing processes.
•Highly analytical, with excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
•Ability to convert customer requirements and industry standards into precise design specifications.
•Deep familiarity with the Product Release Cycle, including critical deliverables at each stage from concept to production.
•Proven track record in working collaboratively with global teams, optimizing design solutions across entire systems.
•Skilled in mentoring and fostering knowledge sharing to enhance team capabilities and drive engineering excellence.

Nice to have:

•Industry background in robotics, automotive, machinery, or related fields.
•Hands-on experience with electric mobility technologies, thermal management at both component and system levels, body structures, chassis systems, and braking solutions is highly valued.
•Proficiency in the design or integration of high-voltage systems.

What you’ll do:

  • Play a pivotal role in leading the design and development of cutting-edge hardware systems.
  • Working from high-level architectural system requirements, you can showcase your creativity and expertise by developing robust engineering solutions at both the component and sub-system design levels.

  • Develop and maintain well-structured component timing plans, aligning them with the overarching program schedule. Proactively identify and escalate issues, presenting well-defined recovery plans to mitigate potential risks.
  • Collaborate in establishing and maintaining internal design standards, fostering consistency and excellence in product development practices.
  • Execute meticulous DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) evaluations to ensure the successful execution of designs.
    Create detailed and accurate manufacturing and assembly drawings, serving as crucial references for production processes.
  • Conduct basic FEA (Finite Element Analysis) activities, leveraging the guidance and expertise of the FEA Lead, to evaluate structural integrity and performance as needed.
  • Develop and execute thorough unit-level component tests, closely collaborating with the Integration & Test team to validate the functionality and reliability of the system.

What you’ll need:

  • Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in CAD modelling, 2D, and analysis tools (Solidworks and Altair preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address design or system-related issues
  • Familiarity with global dimensioning and tolerances
  • Ability to translate customer requirements and industry standards into design criteria
  • Understanding of the Product Release Cycle, including prototype to production phases
  • Knowledge of prototype and low-volume production manufacturing processes
  • Experience in collaborating with local and international teams throughout the engineering and manufacturing stages
  • Ability to mentor others and share knowledge to foster capability growth within the engineering teams
