What you’ll do:

  • System Design and Architecture:
    • Lead the design and architecture of coin and bill validation systems, considering factors such as performance, security, scalability, and interoperability.
    • Develop innovative solutions to meet customer requirements and industry standards, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Research and Development:
    • Conduct thorough research and analysis of new technologies, trends, and industry developments related to coin and bill validation systems.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define research projects, prototype new features, and evaluate feasibility.
  • Product Development and Testing:
    • Collaborate with a multi-discipline team of firmware, electronic, mechanical and software engineers to develop and integrate coin and bill validation modules into our payment processing systems.
    • Design and implement test plans and procedures to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of the validation systems.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the R&D team, mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices in system architecture and design.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, customers, and suppliers, to understand requirements and align technology solutions accordingly.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Create detailed technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and test reports.
    • Regularly report project status, milestones, and risks to management and stakeholders.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in the design and development of coin and bill validation systems, preferably within the payment processing industry.
  • Proficiency in system architecture design, hardware-software integration, and embedded systems development.
  • Solid understanding of microcontrollers, sensors, motors, and communication interfaces used in coin and bill validators.
  • Experience with programming languages (C/C++, Python) and software development tools.
  • Proven track record of leading technical projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

  • Strong knowledge of payment protocols, industry standards (e.g., MDB, ccTalk), and security measures related to coin and bill validation.
