What you'll do:  

  • Control systems design and development deliverables across a variety of projects.
  • Involvement in all phases of project delivery, including: Concept, Detailed design, Implementation, In-house testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Onsite commissioning, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Client handover and Client support
  • Manage work technically and contractually to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Use and continually improve company quality procedures for consistent outcomes.
  • Propose innovative solutions when established systems cannot resolve problems.
  • Provide technical support and mentoring for peers and junior engineers.
  • Actively participate in and ensure a productive and friendly team culture.
  • Specialize in process and manufacturing safety automation systems.
  • Develop Functional Design Specification documentation.
  • Control philosophy development.
  • OT Network design and configuration.
  • Integration of UPS, Diesel Generator, and Solar/Wind Systems.
  • Develop control standards, software applications, and perform simulation testing.
  • Prepare FAT and Commissioning Plans, as well as SAT and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
  • Troubleshoot and support control systems.
  • Implement industrial PLC/RTU/HMI & SCADA systems on commonly used platforms such as:Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric, Emerson (GE), Endress+Hauser (E+H), Omron and Mitsubishi


What you'll need:  

  • At least 4 to 10 years in the industry with a proven track record in large industrial automation projects and technical leadership.
  • Familiarity with Siemens, Rockwell, or Schneider Electric control systems and expertise in industrial networking and cybersecurity.
  • Enthusiastic about the role with a commitment to continual improvement and business growth.
  • Ability to think innovatively in commercial and technical project delivery aspects.


Nice to have:

  • Design, implement, and certify process and machine safety systems to IEC 61508 / IEC 61511 / AS 4024 standards.
