Build the data backbone of a growing, multi-site operation

This is a newly created role, introduced to support a growing data workload across a complex, multi-site processing environment. You’ll work closely with an experienced Senior Data Engineer, taking ownership of core data platforms and helping scale the organisation’s data capability.

What you’ll do

• Design, build and operate a centralised, cloud-based data warehouse that underpins operational and commercial reporting

• Develop robust, automated data pipelines using SQL and Python or R, integrating data via APIs and heterogeneous source systems

• Standardise, clean and model data from production systems, ERP platforms and external providers

• Reduce manual reporting by establishing trusted data definitions and governance

• Work one-on-one with the Senior Data Engineer to deliver scalable, business-critical data solutions

• Support operational insight, traceability and compliance across multiple processing sites

What we’re looking for

• Strong, hands-on experience with SQL and a modern programming language (Python or R)

• Proven experience building and maintaining cloud-based data platforms or data warehouses

• Experience integrating data through APIs and from systems with varying data quality

• Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a senior technical peer

• Clear communicator who can engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience in manufacturing, food, agriculture or complex supply chain environments is advantageous
