Senior LTE Engineer

Job Location: Brisbane, Queensland

A major industrial operator is replacing a legacy OT Wi-Fi network with a site-wide LTE infrastructure. This isn’t a maintenance job. It’s a ground-up rollout where one engineer becomes the technical cornerstone of a new capability.

If you want ownership, influence, and the chance to shape how LTE is deployed in a live production environment, this is the platform.

The Project

The organisation is redesigning its network stack to support autonomous equipment and next-generation operational systems.

You will lead the LTE layer of the rollout:

Replace existing OT Wi-Fi with LTE infrastructure
Integrate LTE into active operational systems
Advise on architecture and deployment strategy
Establish the internal LTE capability the business will scale around

You are not joining an LTE team. You are helping create it.

The Role

A hybrid of:

LTE deployment specialist
Operations engineer
Embedded technical advisor

The early phase is rollout-heavy and project driven. Once stabilised, the role transitions into long-term operational ownership.

You will be relied on for judgement and experience. This is a high-impact individual contributor role where your decisions matter.

Environment

Brisbane-based role
3–4 days in office, 1–2 days WFH
Minimal site travel
Embedded full-time with the end client

The team culture is collaborative, direct, and hands-on. Engineers share responsibility, step in to help, and focus on delivery rather than politics.

Ideal Background

Strong signals include:
Real LTE network deployment experience
OT / industrial networking environments
Experience integrating wireless infrastructure into existing systems
Comfortable advising on rollout decisions
Able to act as a technical reference point
Independent and pragmatic problem solver

Industry background is flexible. Depth of LTE experience is the key requirement.

Why This Role Matters

Most LTE roles are incremental upgrades to existing systems. This is foundational work. You are creating capability, not inheriting it.

That level of ownership is rare and career-defining.

If you want a role where your technical decisions shape long-term infrastructure, reach out for a confidential discussion.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Location: Sydney, New South Wales

Product Development | Precision Electromechanical Systems

Not a maintenance design role.

This is a product engineering role inside a team that designs precision electromechanical systems used in high-reliability equipment deployed globally.

You will be joining a specialised engineering group working across mechanical, electronic, optical and magnetic technologies to design hardware that must perform consistently in real-world environments. These are physical products. Built, tested, iterated, and shipped worldwide.

The role is based in Sydney, NSW.

Why engineers like working here

• Work on real products, not theoretical designs
• Collaborate with experienced multidisciplinary engineers
• Opportunity to design systems that integrate mechanics, electronics and sensing technologies
• See your designs go from concept → prototype → production

What you’ll be doing

• Design and develop new mechanical systems for production hardware
• Improve and optimise existing product designs already deployed globally
• Create 3D models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks
• Prototype and test design concepts to validate performance and reliability
• Investigate product performance issues and implement design improvements
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical for production
• Develop engineering documentation including change notes and component approvals
• Collaborate with electronics, quality and manufacturing teams across the product lifecycle
• Provide technical input on mechanical design queries when required

What you’ll need

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong experience using SolidWorks for 3D modelling and mechanical design
• Experience designing mechanical components for production products
• Understanding of mechanical integration with electronic systems
• Experience with injection moulded components and production design

Nice to have

• Experience setting up SolidWorks PDM environments or managing design data migration

Important

This role is open only to candidates currently based in Australia with full working rights.

Embedded Systems Engineer

Job Location: Perth, Western Australia

Embedded Systems Engineer

Perth | Full-time | On-site

We’re working with a specialist engineering team building connected hardware systems deployed in real-world, high-dependency environments.

This is a hands-on role with full ownership across hardware and firmware. You’ll be working on systems that move beyond prototypes and operate in the field, where reliability and practical performance matter.

This is not a layered, corporate environment. It’s a small, capable team focused on building and shipping.

What You’ll Be Working On

You’ll take ownership of embedded systems development across the full lifecycle.

This includes:

  • Designing and prototyping microcontroller-based hardware systems

  • Developing embedded firmware in C/C++ for real-time control

  • Integrating cellular/LTE connectivity for remote devices

  • Working with low-level communication protocols and control systems

  • Supporting data flow between edge devices and cloud platforms

  • Diagnosing and improving system performance based on real-world use

You’ll collaborate directly with a senior software engineer to ensure tight integration across hardware and backend systems.

What We’re Looking For

This role suits someone who is practical, self-directed, and comfortable working across both hardware and firmware.

You’ll likely bring:

  • Proven experience in PCB design and schematic capture

  • Strong embedded C/C++ development skills

  • Experience with IoT or connected devices

  • Familiarity with real-time, interrupt-driven systems

  • Exposure to mixed-signal environments or hardware diagnostics

  • Ability to move quickly from concept to working prototype

You’re also someone who:

  • Understands when a design is ready to ship

  • Can balance quality with speed without over-engineering

  • Is comfortable working with minimal structure

  • Takes ownership without needing constant direction

Why This Role

  • End-to-end ownership across hardware and firmware

  • Small, highly capable team with direct impact

  • Systems deployed in real operational environments

  • Stable environment with long-term product focus

Location

This role is based in Perth and requires on-site involvement.

If you’re already in Perth, this is an opportunity to work on meaningful embedded systems without being siloed.

If you’re considering relocation, you should be deliberate. This is best suited to someone who values ownership, autonomy, and real engineering work over big-city ecosystems.

The Reality Check

This is not a role for someone who needs heavy structure, long development cycles, or narrowly defined responsibilities.

You’ll be expected to make decisions, move quickly, and take responsibility for outcomes.

Interested?

If you’ve actually built embedded systems end-to-end and can speak in detail about both your hardware and firmware decisions, reach out directly.

Send a brief summary of relevant projects or systems you’ve worked on.
