What you’ll do:

  • Play a pivotal role in leading the design and development of cutting-edge hardware systems.

  • Collaborate in establishing and maintaining internal design standards, fostering consistency and excellence in product development practices.
  • Execute meticulous DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) evaluations to ensure the successful execution of designs.
    Create detailed and accurate manufacturing and assembly drawings, serving as crucial references for production processes.
  • Conduct basic FEA (Finite Element Analysis) activities, leveraging the guidance and expertise of the FEA Lead, to evaluate structural integrity and performance as needed.
  • Develop and execute thorough unit-level component tests, closely collaborating with the Integration & Test team to validate the functionality and reliability of the system.

What you’ll need:

  • Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in CAD modelling, 2D, and analysis tools (Solidworks and Altair preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address design or system-related issues
  • Familiarity with global dimensioning and tolerances
  • Ability to translate customer requirements and industry standards into design criteria
  • Understanding of the Product Release Cycle, including prototype to production phases
  • Knowledge of prototype and low-volume production manufacturing processes
  • Experience in collaborating with local and international teams throughout the engineering and manufacturing stages
  • Ability to mentor others and share knowledge to foster capability growth within the engineering teams
