What you’ll do:
• Generate technical drawings, Bills of Materials, and other comprehensive equipment documentation.
• Strategize and track project costs to ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Develop manufacturing equipment for the production of optical devices.
• Enhance or modify existing equipment components to optimize yield or throughput.
• Conduct Health and Safety Risk Assessments for equipment designs, prioritizing safety measures.
• Adhere to predetermined schedules while executing assigned tasks.
What you’ll need:
• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Proficient in conceptualizing and designing automated equipment, encompassing 3D modeling and meticulous drafting.
• Well-versed in working with sensors, electric motor control, and pneumatics.
• Possesses a solutions-oriented mindset, consistently seeking effective problem-solving approaches.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, adept at engaging in discussions within and outside the team to foster collaborative solution development while considering stakeholder perspectives.
Nice to have:
• Proficiency in utilizing Solidworks Design package and PDM system for design tasks.
• Proficient knowledge of machine vision systems, including their principles and applications.
• Familiarity with optical products, processes, or related industrial environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of materials utilized in high precision optical assemblies, such as epoxies, adhesives, ceramics, low-expansion metals, and optical materials.
• Experience in employing collaborative software tools like Confluence and Jira for streamlined teamwork.
