We are looking for an FPGA Engineer to join our small, agile development team.
What you'll be doing:
- FPGA development in VHDL.
- Creating and executing verification test benches.
- Assisting with the bring-up and debugging of new electronics hardware.
- Providing technical support to assist business development managers.
- Basic software development in C++ in support of tightly coupled FPGA implementation.
What you'll need:
- 5 years’ FPGA development experience using VHDL.
- Proven track record in methodical problem-solving and debugging.
- A willingness to get involved in other aspects of development as part of a small team.
- Strong documentation and oral communication skills.
- A desire to participate in peer review as both a reviewee and reviewer.
- Ability to read and understand electronics schematics and component data sheets.
- Demonstrated ability to use an oscilloscope or logic analyser to assist debugging in hardware.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Xilinx FPGAs and Vivado, and Microchip FPGAs.
- High-speed digital video I/O experience.
- Experience working with video transport protocols such as HDMI, DisplayPort, and MIPI.
- Experience designing and tuning feedback control systems.
- Verilog and SystemVerilog experience.
- Experience designing/implementing network protocols and packet formats.
- Experience in RTL design and synthesis.
- Verilog and SystemVerilog experience.
- Embedded software and firmware in C or C++.
- UVM or other verification framework experience.
- Experience with video compression or signal processing.
- Experience developing on a Linux desktop environment.
- Advanced git source control skills.
