Position Overview
We are seeking a high-performing National Business Development Manager to spearhead growth across the ANZ market. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of expanding market share in solar solutions through new customer acquisition, strategic partnerships, and effective channel management. You’ll combine strong business acumen with a passion for renewables, building trusted relationships and executing targeted sales strategies that deliver results.
Key Responsibilities
1. Growth & Strategy
• Deliver sales targets with a focus on profitability.
• Develop and implement sales and marketing plans for solar products.
• Build and manage a high-quality pipeline aligned to company growth objectives.
2. Market Expansion & Customer Acquisition
• Identify and engage new customers across installers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
• Conduct site visits to present solutions and influence key decision-makers.
• Research market trends and leverage intelligence to penetrate new segments.
• Design and execute go-to-market strategies that expand footprint across ANZ.
3. Channel & Client Management
• Strengthen long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with partners and clients.
• Ensure customer satisfaction while addressing evolving needs.
• Act as a trusted advisor to partners and stakeholders in the solar ecosystem.
4. Collaboration & Team Support
• Work closely with regional sales colleagues, sharing insights and supporting team targets.
• Provide backup sales support when required.
• Coordinate with technical and service teams for seamless after-sales delivery.
• Collaborate across marketing, finance, and support to achieve business goals.
5. Brand Leadership
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry forums, and promotional campaigns.
• Take on additional projects as assigned to support business growth.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline (MBA or postgraduate qualification advantageous).
• 5+ years of B2B sales or business development within the solar or renewable energy sector.
• Demonstrated success in client acquisition, distribution channel management, and consistently hitting revenue targets.
• Familiarity with ANZ solar policy and industry dynamics. Background in solar panels, inverters, or PV hardware highly regarded.
• Strong pipeline management and strategic planning ability.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to interpret market data, trends, and competitor activity.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and data-driven decision making.
• Working knowledge of CAD drawings, mechanical design, or electronics is an advantage.
