What you’ll do:
• Design and develop grain handling systems and their sub-components with engineering precision.
• Assist the sales team with technical customer inquiries, providing detailed insights.
• Produce detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs for production processes.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, installation, and purchasing teams to streamline operations.
• Track design changes, documenting and implementing modifications as necessary.
• Actively contribute to new product development and innovation projects.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and product improvements.
• Be prepared to travel to project sites to assess design improvements firsthand.
What you’ll need:
• Mechanical Engineering degree with 5+ years of industry experience.
• Background in a similar role, ideally with grain handling equipment expertise.
• Excellent mechanical skills, with additional structural experience considered an advantage.
• Experience in the agriculture and mining industries, particularly with conveyor design, is an advantage.
• Proficient in 3D modeling software, particularly Autodesk Inventor.
• Adept at evaluating work practices, suggesting improvements, and implementing new systems.
• Knowledge of engineering workshop practices, including welding, fabrication, machining, and assembly, as well as basic electrical wiring.
