What you'll do:
- Lead the Hardware Team and ensure they meet their goals.
- Develop and maintain a high-performance culture within the Hardware Team.
- Work with the Head of Engineering to recruit new staff.
- Take a strategic view of hardware development activities.
- Ensure that the selected technologies align with the company's vision.
- Design new products, improve existing ones, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations in Australia, Europe, the USA, and other markets.
- Plan and manage projects and coordinate internal and external teams to deliver targeted functional performance.
- Contribute to establishing standard procedures and library management, enhancing the corporate quality system.
What you'll need:
- Excellent analog and digital design skills
- Experience in electronics design for high-volume, low-cost, high-quality manufacture
- Experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and DMMs
- Adept at Altium Schematic and PCB design
- Analytical mind with strong debugging, investigative and problem-solving skills
- Strong quality ethic and attention to detail
- Team player, capable of working with minimal supervision
- High energy, self-motivated
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
Nice to have:
- Experience with Radio Frequency design
- Experience with low-noise analog circuits
- Experience with Nordic Semiconductor and Microchip SoCs
- Experience with designing components with a variety of environmental sensors
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy and wireless mesh networks
- Experience with Agile development processes
- Design experience for class II luminaires and control gear.
