What you'll do: 

  • Lead the Hardware Team and ensure they meet their goals. 
  • Develop and maintain a high-performance culture within the Hardware Team. 
  • Work with the Head of Engineering to recruit new staff. 
  • Take a strategic view of hardware development activities. 
  • Ensure that the selected technologies align with the company's vision.
  • Design new products, improve existing ones, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations in Australia, Europe, the USA, and other markets. 
  • Plan and manage projects and coordinate internal and external teams to deliver targeted functional performance. 
  • Contribute to establishing standard procedures and library management, enhancing the corporate quality system. 

What you'll need: 

  • Excellent analog and digital design skills 
  • Experience in electronics design for high-volume, low-cost, high-quality manufacture 
  • Experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and DMMs 
  • Adept at Altium Schematic and PCB design 
  • Analytical mind with strong debugging, investigative and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong quality ethic and attention to detail 
  • Team player, capable of working with minimal supervision 
  • High energy, self-motivated 
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral 

Nice to have: 

  • Experience with Radio Frequency design 
  • Experience with low-noise analog circuits 
  • Experience with Nordic Semiconductor and Microchip SoCs 
  • Experience with designing components with a variety of environmental sensors 
  • Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy and wireless mesh networks 
  • Experience with Agile development processes 
  • Design experience for class II luminaires and control gear.
