Detailer – Electrical

Job Location: Melbourne, Victoria

Where Precision Meets Purpose.

What if your attention to detail was the key that keeps multi-million-dollar projects on track?

Every successful electrical project starts with accurate data, reliable drawings, and sharp eyes in the field - and that’s where you come in.

As Detailer - Electrical, you’ll play a hands-on role supporting engineers and designers across electrical and NBN infrastructure projects. From site surveys and asset capture to drawing checks and compliance coordination, your work ensures that every plan reflects the real world - perfectly.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being out on site as much as behind a screen - someone who takes pride in getting the details right, collaborating across teams, and seeing projects move smoothly from design to delivery.

This Role Gives You the Chance To:

• Be at the heart of project delivery - ensuring every design reflects accurate, up-to-date information.
• Work alongside engineers, project managers, and field teams to solve real-world challenges.
• Gain exposure to both design and construction environments in Victoria’s energy and infrastructure sector.
• Build technical and industry experience that can grow into drafting, design, or project coordination pathways.
• Represent the company in site audits, inspections, and client meetings - becoming a trusted project contributor.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct site visits to capture asset details, photographs, and key measurements.
• Assist accredited auditors and attend Powercor audits as a company representative.
• Perform NBN site readiness inspections and report findings accurately.
• Collaborate closely with designers and project managers to align on requirements and resolve drafting issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Check drawings for accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Build strong working relationships with contractors, councils, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Support risk identification, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
• Solid understanding of Victorian electricity industry standards and compliance processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills - you ask the right questions and keep everyone informed.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Wrike.
• Experience with CAD tools and utility-based design software (desirable).
• A proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented approach to your work.
• Enthusiasm for working both independently on site and collaboratively within a team.

Why This Role Matters

The Detailer role is the foundation of project accuracy and coordination. Your work ensures designs match real-world conditions, compliance standards are met, and projects move forward safely and efficiently.

If you’re someone who takes pride in getting the details right and wants to grow in a supportive, technical environment - this is where your next career step begins.

If you’re ready to turn precision into progress, we’d love to hear from you.
