What you’ll do:

✅ Design and simulate RF and microwave hardware, from components to full modules
✅ Optimize component selection to balance performance, price, and availability
✅ Collaborate with RF and mechanical engineers to bring designs to life
✅ Develop and document high-quality BOMs and manufacturing/testing procedures
✅ Lead prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting to refine designs
✅ Perform design verification, ensuring compliance with EMI/EMC and other industry standards
✅ Conduct environmental and reliability testing to guarantee robust performance
✅ Manage test schedules and develop detailed test plans and reports
✅ Build test jigs and develop test software to streamline validation processes

What you’ll need

✅ Qualifications: Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
✅ Experience: 2-3 years in RF/microwave design (highly regarded)
✅ Security Clearance: Eligibility for Australian Defence Security Clearance (Baseline minimum, NV1 preferred)
✅ Strong understanding of RF and microwave principles
✅ Proficiency in PCB design using Altium
✅ Experience with RF design software (ADS, Genesys)
✅ Hands-on expertise with RF test equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Meter, etc.)
✅ Deep knowledge of electronic circuits, including EMI minimization techniques
✅ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
✅ Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
✅ Strong analytical and communication skills
✅ Proficiency in MS Office for documentation and reporting
