Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and optimize embedded firmware for 32-bit processors running an RTOS, with a strong focus on inverters.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams working on development hardware that is still under active refinement.
  • Debug and resolve complex firmware issues effectively.
  • Utilize board-level communication protocols such as SPI, 4G

What You'll Need:

  • Extensive experience in embedded firmware development on 32-bit processors with RTOS.
  • Proficiency in C (or equivalent) programming languages.
  • Demonstrated experience with inverters, particularly within IoT energy systems.
  • Hands-on experience with ESP32 and FreeRTOS (or similar) platforms.
  • Strong debugging skills and the ability to work with evolving development hardware.
  • Excellent written communication skills in English, particularly for documentation and support purposes.
  • Practical experience working within a remote, collaborative team environment.

What you'll do:  

  • Control systems design and development deliverables across a variety of projects.
  • Involvement in all phases of project delivery, including: Concept, Detailed design, Implementation, In-house testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Onsite commissioning, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), Client handover and Client support
  • Manage work technically and contractually to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and organizational policies and procedures.

What you'll need:  

  • At least 4 to 10 years in the industry with a proven track record in large industrial automation projects and technical leadership.
  • Familiarity with Siemens, Rockwell, or Schneider Electric control systems and expertise in industrial networking and cybersecurity.
  • Enthusiastic about the role with a commitment to continual improvement and business growth.
  • Ability to think innovatively in commercial and technical project delivery aspects.


Nice to have:

  • Design, implement, and certify process and machine safety systems to IEC 61508 / IEC 61511 / AS 4024 standards.
  • Audit, specify, and implement industrial networking infrastructure to ISA / IEC 62443 standards.
  • Develop terminal automation systems and terminal integration.
