What you’ll do:

• Developing the system hardware requirements to enable autonomous function
• Developing the software to enable autonomous function
• Carrying out critical design reviews and design optimisation
• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary development team
• Manufacturing test samples and prototypes
• Assisting in testing campaigns including field testing
• Applied research in the field of military technologies

What you’ll need:

• Australian Citizenship - must be eligible for the Australian Government BASELINE security check
• Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software, robotics, Mechatronics) or equivalent
• Experience on developing autonomous platforms
• 3D CAD modelling expertise (SolidWorks preferred)
• Good understanding of engineering materials: specifically, lightweight alloys, steels, polymers and composites
• Hands-on, practical approach to engineering problem solving

Nice to have:

• Experience with MATLAB software suite (Simulink, Simscape and multibody)
• Strives to learn in a dynamic work environment
• Basic understanding of ground vehicles
• Experience in an R&D role
• Strives in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
