About the Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality electrical systems - from concept through to completion. Your proven experience with VEDN and VESI design standards, particularly within the Powercor network, will be essential as you help drive key projects forward and mentor junior engineers.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and controls

  • Deliver compliant, high-quality designs that meet Victorian standards and project specifications

  • Apply your hands-on VEDN and VESI design experience (Powercor network preferred, others also valued)

  • Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and technical excellence

  • Provide mentoring, guidance, and technical leadership to junior engineers

  • Conduct electrical calculations and ensure system efficiency and safety

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to maintain project alignment

  • Select appropriate components and materials to meet performance and budget goals

  • Participate in interdisciplinary design meetings and reviews

  • Research emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships


What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Victorian URD and power distribution design

  • Proven VEDN and VESI design experience (Powercor network preferred)

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

  • Solid understanding of UG/OH electrical design and compliance requirements

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD tools

  • Experience with SOC/PCN and Victorian electrical standards (desirable)

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office and project tools (e.g., Wrike)

  • Current Victorian driver’s licence
