About the Role:

As a Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for creating, developing, and delivering high-quality electrical system designs, ensuring they’re compliant and meet the demands of each project - from concept right through to completion. Your expertise in Victorian URD will be critical as you drive key projects forward.

What you’ll do:

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and controls
• Develop electrical designs and layouts using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar
• Deliver high-quality, compliant designs that meet local standards and safety regulations
• Oversee multiple projects, ensuring they’re delivered on time and within budget
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers
• Perform electrical calculations to ensure system efficiency and safety
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, and contractors to ensure alignment and integration of designs
• Select appropriate components and materials based on project requirements
• Participate in meetings to support coordination across disciplines
• Conduct design reviews and ensure technical accuracy
• Research emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement
• Promote and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
• Support the team in meeting key project milestones
• Take on other tasks or responsibilities as directed by your manager

What you’ll need:

Minimum 3 years of experience in Victorian URD design
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (preferred)
• Understanding of UG/OH electrical design and compliance requirements
• Hands-on experience with SOC/PCN and Victorian electrical design standards (desirable)
• Strong CAD skills – AutoCAD, Revit, or similar
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and project management tools like Wrike
• Demonstrated experience managing clients and stakeholder expectations
• A current Victorian driver’s license
